Letter From the Director of Camp Mardela

Dear Parents,

As a child I had the opportunity to attend summer camp every year. This experience was critical to my development. Not only did I learn skills like archery, outdoor living and crafts, I also developed friendships with other campers and staff that helped me to grow. These times were the best!

Most importantly, as a camper, I remember learning what it meant to be a Christian. This knowledge, and the example of the staff at camp, impacted me in such a way that I dedicated my life to full-time service for Christ.

Every summer I renew a commitment to continue to impact the lives of campers as my leaders did. At Camp Mardela all staff members attend staff training each year to sharpen their skills and prepare spiritually for the summer.

Staff members are taught to provide spiritual guidance and to show the unconditional love of Jesus Christ to campers, parents and each other. These young men and women stand out among their peers; they model a healthy Christian life, and they can't wait to meet your children!

Camp Mardela is celebrating 62 years of offering "Christian Camping." This summer we will be operating for six weeks (June 15 - August 2nd).

I hope that your child will be joining me for the experience of a lifetime.
