Camp Mardela - Specialty Camps Summer Camp Schedule 2008

Jr. Outdoor Adventures:  This camp is designed of the younger camper that enjoys camping out and adventure.   Campers, who have completed 4^th and 5^th grade, will also have the opportunity to experience traditional camp activities.  Campers will take field trips during the week, but each evening they will be back at the main camp in their tent.  This camp is limited to 12 campers.  Registration will begin at 3 p.m. on Sunday and will end with a family picnic on Friday evening at 5 p.m.

June 24 - 29^th; Grades 4 and 5, $320 / $350

Horses, Horses, Horses: Campers will have opportunities to learn about horses, equestrian safety and have experiences in riding. Campers will stay at Camp Mardela and travel offsite for riding activities. In addition to “Horse Camp” activities there will also be time for traditional camp activities. Activities may vary based on schedules and availability. Campers register on Sunday at 3:00 pm, and dismiss on Friday at 5:00 pm with a picnic for the entire family. This camp is limited to twelve campers.

June 24 – 29; Completing Grades 5 to 7; $375 /$405

Performing Arts Camp:

New in 2008! This is an exciting addition to our schedule for campers completing the 5^th through 8^th grades. Music and drama will be the focus of this camp.  Campers will prepare a program to present at the family picnic on Friday evening.  Campers will also experience the traditional camp activities such as swimming and campfires. This camp is limited to 24 campers. Registration will begin at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday and camp will wrap up with a picnic for the whole family at 5:00 P.M. on Friday.

Outdoor Adventures Camp: Enjoy exploring Maryland’s Beautiful Eastern Shore through a variety of travel and camping opportunities. Campers will stay in tents during this week of special adventures. The program has included bicycling, high ropes courses, sailing instruction, climbing walls, overnight canoe trips, pond stomping, orienteering, nature studies, archery, fishing, and much more. Activities will vary somewhat from year to year based on schedules and availability. Campers register on Sunday at 3:00 pm, and dismisses on Friday at 5:00 pm with a picnic for the entire family. This camp is limited to twelve campers.
