Staff/Volunteer Application (New Volunteers Only)

Effective as of May 12, 2025, Maryland camps are legally required to have all volunteers with access to campers to complete state and federal background checks. The forms for these background checks are listed below. Please DO NOT send these confidential forms to Camp Mardela. Please submit them according to the procedures listed in the document "NEW Background Check Requirements" linked below:

If you plan on volunteering as a "Resource Volunteer", meaning:

You will be on-site with campers less than 12 hours during a program week
You will not be alone with campers
You will not be in camper private spaces (cabins, bathhouse, medical facilities)

you will only need to complete the "Resource Volunteer Waiver" below
