TRAINING

June, 2026

If you are interested in helping with camp, you will be REQUIRED to attend volunteer training. Whether you are a new counselor or a seasoned director, these trainings are essential for all volunteers to be aware of camp policies, safety procedures, and standard practices.

There will be several training opportunities for volunteers as listed below in the training schedule. Please complete this survey so we can get a head count for each training day.

 

 

Please try to attend one of the In-Person/Google Meet training days. If you cannot attend those days, you can complete a training quiz to ensure basic understand of camp's safety policies and procedures. The link to the quiz can be found below. This is recommended only for returning volunteers.

The Maryland Health Department requires ALL volunteers with access to campers to complete CPS and CJIS background checks. If you completed these background checks in the past 5 years, you do not need to do them again this year. There will be fingerprinting and a notary at camp after Volunteer Training on June 27th. Information about how to complete can be found below:
