We had a small but MIGHTY work crew for our winter work day! We had about 9 people come to help with various areas of camp, such as putting the new mattresses in all the cabins, restocking firewood, and we made a LOT of headway on our Camp Mardela archive projects. We also had a lot of fun fellowshipping together, sharing a meal, and serving camp.
We had WONDERFULLY successful winter retreats! We had 4 Youth, 11 Tweens, 15 3rd-4th Graders, and 7 Mini Campers over the course of 2 weekends. We had a nearly full house each weekend in the King Retreat Center, and we had a lot of fun with everyone who came, playing games, making crafts, singing songs, and learning about Jesus. We are hopeful that this enthusiasm for camp will carry over into the summer season!

Join us at the Seaford Chick-Fil-A from 5pm-8pm on Monday, May 1st to enjoy the Lord's chicken to support the Lord's work at Camp Mardela! Dine-in or drive-thru, however you get your chicken, do it on this day to support the programs and projects at camp.

Krabill Hall Progress
We have already made progress on our Krabill Hall improvements, but we still need to raise funds for the rest of this project. We have currently raised about $2,000 of our $50,000 fundraising goal - that's only 4% of our total goal We are seeking additional donors! This is our timeline for Krabill Hall's improvements:
April 15th - Dishwasher & Plumbing ($5,000)
We started installing the donated dishwasher. We just need to redo the floor, install a water heater, and upgrade the plumbing.
June 15th - Refrigerator Upgrades ($5,000)
In partnership with JL Gannon, we're improving our refrigerator units, but the walk-in fridge is in need of replacement.
September 15th - Insulation and Weatherproofing ($10,000)
Before installing the units, we need to upgrade the wooden doors, and add insulation in the Krabill attic.
December 15th - Heat & AC Unit Installation ($30,000)
We plan to install a ductless mini-split system that will provide both heat and air conditioning for the whole building.
OTHER CAMP NEWS
Our rental groups have DOUBLED since 2021 and we're already reserving for 2024! Our primary ministry is our camp programs, but in addition to our fundraisers, our rental income helps to support our programs and projects at camp. Dates are going quickly (only NINE available weekends left in 2023!). If you are interested in renting camp for your event, visit www.campmardela.org/rentals.
